The Classic Hits 93.9 law enforcement officer of the week is McDonald County Sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Phillips!
Deputy Phillips has been with the McDonald County Office since 2014 where he was a jailer. After graduating the MSSU Police Academy, he was promoted to Patrol Deputy. While working for the sheriff’s department he recently volunteered to work a night shift to assist in finding a murder suspect, who he later apprehended. Deputy Phillips is also currently the county’s only K-9 officer, working with Cresso. In his spare time he volunteers with the Stella Fire Department. McDonald County Sheriff Michael Hall says that Phillips is “an extremely dedicated officer always going above and beyond for the community. He’s great with the area youth and is truly a role model for young children. He always strives to influence them to become a part of the fire department or a law enforcement officer.”
Congratulations Deputy Joshua Phillips; this week’s Stand with the Shield Law Enforcement Officer of the Week!
